Navy House Hunting Leave Policy
MILPERSMAN 1320-210 contains the official information on "Permissive TAT Authorization for
Residence Hunting," also known as House Hunting Leave.
Below are some general rules for Navy House Hunting Leave:
- House Hunting Leave must be in the area of the new PDS
- House Hunting leave is normally authorized for up to 5 work days, however, it can be extended
to a total of 10 calendar days, when combined with weekends, holidays and or liberty
- Generally permissive TAD may not be combined with PCS-Funded TAD travel
- House Hunting Leave may be combined with leave
- All travel costs must be borne by the servicemember
