| Job Hunting Leave - A little known Navy Benefit When a service member retires after at least 20 years of service they are normally authorized five working days of House Hunting Leave, officially known as permissive TAD for house hunting, and five days of Job Hunting Leave. This is a little known benefit which most retirees to not realize. The two best ways to find out more information on Job Hunting leave is through MILPERSMAN Section 1800 (Retirements) and also through your admin office.
