Unfortunately combining leave and liberty are not allowed. For example if a sailor wanted to take liberty on Monday off after a weekend, that sailor would need to put in a leave chit for the entire weekend (Saturday through Monday). However, many commands will allow a sailor to "check out" on leave Sunday night (via a phone call) and then return to work Tuesday morning. The best place to find out your commands specific policy is through your Chief or Admin department.
